49th parallel – Magician(1969)

Nice cover

Here’s something you don’t see everyday. A late sixties psychedelic – garage punk band from Canada. I didn’t know Canadians like music. I don’t know that much about Canadians. They tend to stay out of my way.Or anyone else’s, for that matter. Does Canada even have a foreign policy? Oh yeah, say nothing, do nothing. Just chill. I’m sick of Canada-bashing. Everyone thinks it’s so cool. It’s not, though.

Magician is one of their ballads. What a gem. That quintessential sixties’ flavour. Very cool melody. “Ask the Magician, for he’s been there; And you’ll be wishin’, but you won’t care“.

Like it?Wanna hear more like it?More interested in garage-y stuff?Buy their one and only eponymous album:-
